Our training courses are fully approved or accredited by the recognised professional bodies:
NCS and HS
There are two routes to accreditation with the NCS and HS. The first route offers accreditation with the National Counselling Society (NCS) as a Counsellor after completing a Diploma in CBT/REBT, Advanced Diploma in CBT/REBT and Advanced Diploma in Integrative CBT/REBT.
The second route offers accreditation with both the National Counselling Society (NCS) and the National Hypnotherapy Society (HS) as both a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and as a Counsellor, after completing a Diploma in CBT/REBT, Advanced Diploma in CBT/REBT and Advanced Diploma in CBT with Hypnosis.
The NCS and HS are independent Societies that accredit counselling courses and hypnotherapy courses as well as offering accredited voluntary registers. The NCS and HS governance has been assessed by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) and granted Accredited Voluntary Register status. Under the recent Health & Social Care Bill, holders of voluntary registers have the opportunity of having their governance assessed by the PSA. The Professional Standards Authority is responsible for overseeing the UK’s nine health and care professional regulatory bodies. Other bodies accredited by the PSA include the UKCP and the BACP.”
Our Diploma courses are approved by AREBT. AREBT is the lead organisation for REBT in the UK. Albert Ellis was a supporter and a Fellow of AREBT. The aim of AREBT is to promote and develop the science, practice and delivery of REBT and to make this form of CBT more easily accessible to the public. Our courses fulfil most of the accreditation requirements for AREBT. Additional requirements are dependent on your APL and may include for example self study on research methodology in Psychology. Accreditation with AREBT provides an opportunity for dual accreditation by both AREBT and BABCP and listing on the CBT register.
