On 23rd November 2013, the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (www.cbttherapies.org.uk) is holding a one day Workshop on Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. In this workshop, you will learn a session by session Hypnotherapy approach, based on evidenced therapeutic models like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness and their combination with hypnosis.
Maggie Chapman, Director and Co-Founder of CCBT and co- author of Visual CBT, explains more:
“Obsessional thoughts are almost always distressing e.g. because they are violent, obscene or senseless, whereas compulsive acts or rituals are not inherently enjoyable or useful. Depressive symptoms commonly coexist, sometimes as a result of a primary depressive disorder”.
