Irritable Bowel Syndrome

A one day workshop

On 14th June 2014, the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies ( ) is holding a one day workshop on Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). IBS is a chronic functional bowel disorder which affects around 10-15 % of the population worldwide. It can have a crippling effect on people’s lives, leaving them frustrated, depressed and unable to cope.

In this workshop you will learn the latest medical and dietary strategies to the treatment of IBS and will discover how altering your dysfunctional thought processes can impact on gut function and symptoms. You will also learn gut-focused hypnotic techniques medically proven to alleviate the symptoms of this distressing and multifaceted disorder.

Moya Layton, Nutritionist, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and Lecturer at CCBT will explain the latest strategies in the treatment of IBS and the brain gut connection.
This experiential workshop will help you understand how dysfunctional thought processes perpetuate IBS and will teach you to use the power of your mind to help you or your clients to successfully manage IBS symptoms and gain a greater sense of control and wellbeing.
