As a healthcare professional you already understand the importance of continuing practitioner education and enhancing your existing skill set. Here at the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies we recognise the importance of CPD and have designed our courses to give healthcare professionals a solid accredited training in CBT whilst building extra CPD credits.
Grounded in the framework of REBT, one of the main schools of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), our training teaches a therapy model that can be used to successfully treat a wide range of emotional, behavioural and symptomatic problems. It offers clients a structure and philosophy that allows them to make effective and long lasting emotional and behavioural change.
REBT is a humanistic and philosophical CBT that is evidence based. It teaches a universal model that can easily be integrated with your current therapeutic training. CBT is widely is recognized by both NICE and the NHS as one of the most effective forms of psychotherapy and recommends it as the treatment of choice for anxiety disorders and depression.
The Diploma in CBT/REBT is the foundation for our training courses. You can choose to complete this course as a CPD only to enhance your existing skills or you can choose to continue with your studies to full accreditation as a CBT/REBT Counsellor.

Entry Requirements for the Diploma in CBT/REBT
You must provide evidence of basic counselling skills and ethics training in your application. Please note that theoretical knowledge is insufficient. If you wish to refresh your counselling skills, you are welcome to complete one of our Counselling Skills and Ethics Courses before applying for the Diploma.
