Wishing you all a prosperous 2014

Here at the college, 2014 brings some exciting changes to the college’s programme, with two new centres opening in Bath and Sheffield, and we are delighted to announce that our courses are now accredited by both the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society.  This means accreditation in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy as well as CBT counselling.  This is an exciting programme for your therapeutic career progression which opens up your client base to include those interested in CBT counselling or cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy or both.

Courses
Listening to all the feedback over the years we have restructured our course programme to create greater flexibility in the structure and relevance of our courses. The new courses are designed in six month modules offering students the ability to choose the programme of study that suits each individual best. Whether you want to take our Diploma in CBT as a stand alone CPD to add to your therapeutic skills or as a beginning to a new career as accredited counsellor or cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist or both, our modular programme will give you that opportunity. CPD
With our new programme you can study our
Diploma in CBT to add to your existing skills to gain a thorough knowledge of Albert Ellis model of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, the philosophic and universal CBT model, to enhance and broaden your skills. There is recognition and a need for trans-diagnostic models of CBT like REBT. Click here for more information

Accreditation

Our course programmes are now accredited to Practitioner Level, the highest Level of Accreditation, by the National Counselling Society (NCS), National Hypnotherapy Society (HS) and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). These three organisations are independent and offer voluntary registers for accredited counsellors and hypnotherapists.

The NCS and HS are independent Societies that accredit counselling courses and hypnotherapy courses as well as offering accredited voluntary registers. The NCS, HS and GHSC governance has been assessed by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) and granted Accredited Voluntary Register status. Under the recent Health & Social Care Bill, holders of voluntary registers have the opportunity of having their governance assessed by the PSA. The Professional Standards Authority is responsible for overseeing the UK’s nine health and care professional regulatory bodies.

The GHSC is a Verifying Professional Association within The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the voluntary regulator set up with Department of Health funding. Our courses are included within a list of courses that have all been assessed as meeting the CNHC entry standards for Hypnotherapy and the CNHC refers to this list directly when they are contacted by those seeking training in regard to which courses meet those standards. CNHC is accredited by the PSA.
